The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator Dr. George Akume congratulates the Och’Idoma, IV,His Royal Majesty Agabaidu Elias Ikoyi Obekpa, CON,FCTI on his well deserved appointment as Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) by the President and Commander-In Chief, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

Senator George Akume describes the appointment of the paramount traditional ruler of the Idoma Nation as a mark of recognition of the significant role that HRM Agabaidu Elias Ikoyi Obekpa has played in the socio-economic progress of the country, having served in different capacities as tax and revenue administrator whose contributions to Nigeria’s economic sector cannot be overemphasized.
