SEN. GEORGE AKUME CALLS FOR INCREASED RECRUITMENT OF BENUE INDIGENES INTO THE FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE

The Honourable Minister Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator Dr. George Akume, fnim, earlier today, 20th April, 2021, met with the Head of Federal Civil Service, Dr Mrs. Folashade Yemi -Esan.

The Honourable Minister and the Head of Federal Civil Service discussed intensively on issues of reforms and repositioning the service.

Senator George Akume further made a case for increased recruitment of Benue indigenes in the federal civil service, either through direct recruitment or transfer of service processes. This demand is predicated on the fact that the current number of Benue indigenes in the federal civil service needs to be improved upon.
