The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,fnim earlier today,the 4th of April,2021 received in courtesy visit caucus members/stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress(APC) from Benue South Senatorial District. The visit was led by Chief Steven Lawani,OFR.
Highlights and resolutions at the meeting included the followings:
1. Formal notification of the decamping of Hon. Samuel Godday Odagboyi from the Labour Party to the All Progressives Congress. Hon. Samuel Godday Odagboyi is the current House of Representatives member, representing APA/Agatu in the National Assembly, Abuja. He personally gave the official notification at the meeting.
2. The resolve by the Zone C stakeholders to ensure that APC takes charge of Benue South Senatorial District in all elections come 2023. Given the unarguable abysmal performance of the PDP in Benue State which has inflicted gargantuan and untold hardships and sufferings on the lives of Benue people.
The motion for this resolve was made by Hon. Lady Blessing Onuh who is the serving House of Representatives member,representing the good people of Oturkpo/Ohimini in the National Assembly,Abuja
3. The stakeholders also reaffirmed and resonated their collective voice of loyalty to Distinguished Senator George Akume with a commitment to unity of purpose,cooperation and understanding in the overall interest and good of the party.
4. The stakeholders also resolved to encourage more membership registration of Nigerians into the All Progressives Congress(APC).
5. The Honourable Minister,Senator Dr. George Akume thanked the stakeholders and assured them of the party’s cooperation,support,understanding,equity and fairness,going forward!!
