THE HONOURABLE MINISTER OF SPECIAL DUTIES AND INTER-GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS, SENATOR ON THE 10TH OF OCTOBER,2020 RECEIVED IN AUDIENCE, MEMBERS OF THE NORTH-CENTRAL PEOPLE’S FORUM(NCPF) IN HIS MAITAMA RESIDENCE IN ABUJA.

The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator on Saturday, the 10th of October, 2020 received in courtesy visit Members of the North-Central  People’s Forum(NCPF) in his Maitama residence in Abuja.

In an opening remarks, a top member of the Forum,Eng. Sani Ndanusa said the North Central People’s Forum’s  visit to the Honourable Minister was in recognition and appreciation of his unique leadership qualities, capacity and role in North-Central geopolitical zone as a man who is highly experienced,detribalized and a major determinant in the scheme of political leadership in the region. Going further therefore, the Forums seeks to queue     behind the visionary and pragmatic leadership of Senator Dr. George Akume, fnim as an arrow head so as to come up with an economic agenda that will champion the cause of development in the North Central region of the country, devoid of ethnic, religious and tribal political partisanship. Eng. Sani Ndanusa further emphasized that given the track records of  Senator George Akume’s vast relationships and connects across all regions of the country,with his key roles in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, the NCPF holds the trust and confidence in the Honourable Minister’s ability to midwife the Forum’s agenda of engendering unity, peace and development in the North Central and Nigeria as a whole.

In his remarks,the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs,Senator George Akume,fnim thanked members of the Forum for the visit. He also thanked them for the laudable and patriotic initiative of coming together under a non partisan umbrella to seek for and pursue the actualization of the  cause of development in the  North Central region without recourse to separatist agitations. The Honourable Minister assured the Forum of his support and inputs towards the realization of the rational objectives of the body.

The Hon Minister also assured the members of the Forum of President Buhari’s resolve and commitment to leave the legacies of an advanced and United Nigeria, with fair and even growth and development across the country. He pointed out the present spread of infrastructural development projects and efforts towards fighting corruption, insecurity and poverty across the country as evidence and confirmation of Mr. President's resolve to leave a better Nigeria than he met.

The visit also witnessed the presentation of the  Constitution of the North Central People’s Forum to Senator Dr. George Akume.
