The life of His Excellency,Distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,fnim,a former Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate is akin to the proverbial grass to grace story. He rose from a humble background to become who he is today. As asserted by Henry Van Dyke "some people succeed because they are determined to,while others succeed because they are destined to do so". In other words,the rear combination of the attributes of hardwork,determination,courage and commitment to cause of humanity made him to attain the positions of national and international relevance and recognition.
