On the strength of the above,we wish to emphatically state as follows:-

1. That Senator George Akume has not and at any point or occasion declared any interest in vying for the Vice Presidents or Presidentship for the 2023 General Elections.

2. That Senator George Akume for now has been appointed as the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs by His Excellency,President Muhammadu Buhari and he is passionately inclined and determined in delivering on his ministerial mandate in line with Mr. President’s development agenda for the 2019-2023 democratic dispensation in Nigeria. By default therefore,the activities of such persons are seen as nothing but a source of distraction.

3. That Senator George Akume disassociates himself from any forms of purported campaigns and canvassing by anybody or group of persons on his behalf for the office of the Vice President or Presidentship in the 2023 General Elections.

4. Summarily, we wish to call on persons who are involved in the above activities to henceforth, desist from carrying out any forms of political campaigns or canvassing for Vice President or Presidentship of Senator George Akume for the 2023 General Elections.
