The Hon. Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs,Senator (Dr) George Akume, on nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, attends the 6th General Assembly of Northern Traditional Rulers Council

The theme of the 6th General Assembly of Northern Traditional Rulers Council centered on the analysis of education as a catalyst for socio-economic development in Nigeria.

The consensual high point of the meeting as put forward by the traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders is that the backbone of any strong society is anchored on proper education of her citizenry in such a vertical progression that adds value,dignity and development to such a society.

The occasion witnessed the attendance of the  Secretary to the Government of the Federation,Boss Mustapha as well as the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and InterGovernmental Affairs, fnim, Senator (Dr) George Akume who attended the event on Special Nomination by The President. Also in attendance were leading Northern Emirs and other major stakeholders in the education sector.
