The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs attends the 31st and 32nd Convocation Ceremonies of the University of Jos

The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator (Dr) George Akume fnim, yesterday the 7th December, 2019 attended the 31st and 32nd Convocation Ceremonies of the University of Jos, Jos-Nigeria.

Activities at the event included the award of degrees, post graduate degrees and post graduate diplomas as well as honorary degrees to deserving students and distinguished personalities in Nigeria.

Dignitaries for award of Honorary Doctorates Degrees at the ceremonies were:

1. Professor Peter Akinola Okebukola- Doctor of Science(D.Sc.)

2. Dr. Attia Ahmed Nasreddin- Doctor of Business(DBA)

Over twenty students across board graduated with first class degrees at convocation ceremonies.

The occasion as usual attracted the attendance of great personalities both home and abroad.

The Visitor of the University, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari’s keynote address was delivered by Professor Suleman Bogoro, The Executive Secretary, TETFUND

It is here pertinent to note that the attendance of The Hon Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs to this event was on very special invitation by the Government of Plateau State, the Vice Chancellor and Management of the University of Jos, Jos-Nigeria.

The Minister prayed for further growth and development of the Historic Institution.
