Senator George Akume sent his condolences to the family of Late Senator Ibrahim Mantu, the good people of Chanso-Gindiri,Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State,the Senate of Nigeria,friends and political associates of the former Deputy Senate President who passed on at the age of 74.
The Honourable Minister noted that late Senator Ibrahim Mantu who served as a two term senator (1999-2007) representing the people of Plateau Central District and as Deputy Senate President in the 5th Assembly will be greatly remembered for his indelible imprints and remarkable contributions to the stability and sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy.
As a close associate, the Honourable Minister extolled the personal attributes of the late Deputy Senate President as an elder statesman who lived a life of honour,humility,selflessness and fear of God.
On behalf of his family,friends,colleagues, party associates and the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume prayed that will grant the soul of Senator Ibrahim Mantu eternal rest and to comfort the many people who are saddened by his demise.
