MIN. OF SPECIAL DUTIES & INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS RECEIVES IN COURTESY VISIT THE IRANIAN AMBASSADOR TO NIGERIAN, MR. MUHAMMED ALI BAK AND THE HEAD OF ECONOMIC DIVISION OF THE IRANIAN EMBASSY IN NIGERIA, MR. SADEGH SADEGHI.

The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator Dr. George Akume,FNIM yesterday,the 3rd of June,2021 received in courtesy visit the Iranian Ambassador to Nigerian,Mr. Muhammed Ali Bak and the Head of Economic Division of the Iranian Embassy in Nigeria, Mr. Sadegh Sadeghi.
 
The meeting was essentially to discuss over the feasibilities of achieving effective economic partnership between the government of the Republic of Iran and the Nigerian government in areas where the objective of lifting over 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by the government of Nigeria can be achieved under a mutually assured beneficial impact on both Nigeria and Iran,going forward.
 
During the visit, the Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria,Ambassador Muhammed Ali Bak identified highlighted and assured on open areas where the government of Iran is willing and capable of supporting the cause of poverty eradication in Nigeria.
 
In his response, the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, FNIM expressed appreciations to the Iranian government for the its readiness to collaborate with President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR in tackling one of the major issues and challenges of growth and development in the country.
 
Senator George Akume further stated that the Nigeria government under President Muhammadu Buhari is open to all interested countries that are willing and capable of engaging in strategic partnerships that would intensify the nation’s quest for unity, peace and national transformation.
