SENATOR GEORGE AKUME ADDRESSES BENUE STATE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) EXPANDED STAKEHOLDERS AS THE PARTY MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION AND REVALIDATION COMMENCES NATIONWIDE

The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and the pillar of the All Progressives Congress in Benue State,Senator Dr. George Akume,fnim,yesterday, the 3rd of February,2021 addressed presided over the expanded stakeholders meeting of the Benue State All Progressives Congress in Makurdi,the Benue State Capital. This is on the heels of the kick off exercise for registration and revalidation of new and old members into the All Progressives Congress.
 
In his opening remarks, the Honourable Minister expressed his sincerest appreciations to the teeming members of the party who have stood firm, committed and unwavering to the strength,stability and unity of purpose for the party. Senator George Akume reiterated that the All Progressives Congress in Benue State remains the choice of the people,regardless of the electoral conspiracy,false propaganda and malfeasance that was masterminded against the party in the 2019 elections in Benue State.
 
While emphasizing on the significance of the registration and revalidation exercise of new and old members into the All Progressives Congress, the Honourable Minister maintained that the strength and vision of the party in Benue State will be further guaranteed and protected through the active and massive participation of members in the registration and revalidation process. To this extent, Senator George Akume called on all new and old members to turn out en mass to register for their membership.
 
In a related vein, the Honourable Minister implored members of the All Progressives Congress to equally get registered in the INEC voter registration exercise when it commences, as that is the only way the All Progressives Congress will continually take a lead and effect the correct balance of political leadership in Nigeria.
 
Senator George Akume extolled the developmental strides and visionary leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Muhammadu Buhari,GCFR, connoting therefore, that the All Progressives Congress is a party to be,and all hands must be on deck to sustain the mission and vision of the party. The Honourable Minister called for sustained prayers, support and cooperation with the government of President Muhammadu in his laudable initiatives,programmes and economic reform policies which are all targeted at lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
 
The Honourable Minister also commended members of the Benue State All Progressives Congress for their wisdom of not joining the conspiracy theory of the #EndSars protests,as it was nothing but a hatched plan by the leftists who are bent on destabilizing the government of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Honourable advised members of the All Progressives Congress to be on the watch out for such similar pull down strategies from political detractors of Mr. President,with a view to avoiding them.
 
On the commencement of the registration and revalidation exercise,the Honourable Minister assured stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress that absolute transparency,equity,prudence and probity will take the center stage in the conduct of the registration and revalidation processes across the state. He deemphasized the issue of party imposition of candidates and vice versa, while stressing that internal democracy will take preeminence in the conduct of affairs of party and in all electioneering processes,going forward.
