The Honourable Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator George Akume, today the 24th of August, 2019 received a special message of congratulation from the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency,Samuel Ortom.
The message which is contained in a five-paragraph letter reads as thus:
“Ovesen” (connoting the compliment and acknowledgement of Distinguished Senator George Akume as his elder)
“1. I write on behalf of my family, the government and good people of Benue State to heartily congratulate you on your appointment as Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari,GCFR.
2. I believe that you will bring your wealth of experience in your previous public service positions to bear on the discharge of your duties with greater dedication.
3. As an illustrious son of Benue State,I wish to identify with you and I am optimistic that your appointment will open a vista of greater service for the development of our dear state and the nation in general.
4. We therefore, join you and your family, friends and well wishes to felicitate with you and pray God Almighty to grant you long life, good health, wisdom and protection in your service to God and humanity.
