1. Let me use this medium to thank my political leaders in the APC, friends, associates, brother and sisters and other well wishers, who inundated me with calls and visits yesterday, to congratulate me over my nomination as Ambassador Designate by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR. I deeply and sincerely thank all of you for your felicitations and prayers.

2. Let me in a very specially way thank the leader of our great party and Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, the indifatigable Senator Dr. George Akume, for facilitating this appointment. You have once again proven that you are a shepherd who is always ready to stand by his flocks. I pray that God should continue to give you the wisdom to lead the people of Benue in particular and North Central in general.

3. Let me also appeal to all our party men and women, especially those on the waiting list to remain calm, as I strongly believe in the capacity and ability of our leader, Senator  Akume to reach all of us soon. Certainly, our leader does not forget his own people, let us remain calm and patient and in the end we shall all have every reason to glorify God.
