The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator Dr. George Akume, FNIM yesterday, the 22nd of April, 2021 commissioned some major projects executed by the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Professor Richard Kimbir.

These projects which fall the federal government sponsorship under the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) included roads, hotels, lecture complexes, laboratory complexes and offices.

The Honourable Minister commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kimbir for creditably justifying the confidence reposed in him as epitomized in his assiduous execution of TETFUND projects in the university.

Senator George Akume expressed happiness over the multiple and laudable initiatives of Professor Richard Kimbir in the management/administration of the university which has earned him the popular title of “ Talk and Do Vice Chancellor” by the students and staff of the great institution.

On the part of government, the Honourable Minister assured the university community of continued support and encouragement by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration in ensuring that the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi falls within the realm of global best practices in learning and knowledge acquisition.
