SENATOR GEORGE AKUME CALLS ON ELIGIBLE PARTY FAITHFUL OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) IN BENUE STATE TO COME OUT EN MASS AND PARTICIPATE IN THE PARTY’S MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION AND REVALIDATION EXERCISE ( 2ND -16TH FEBRUARY, 2021)
The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Sen. George Akume, has called on old and prospective members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State to come out in their great numbers to update and register their membership of the party as part of the routine processes of guaranteeing and protecting the growth and democratic values of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State and Nigeria at large.
The Honourable Minister has noted that the National Convention of the party is slated for the second quarter of 2021 to enable members elect executive council members of the party.
As a party of all progressives in Nigeria, the Honourable Minister emphasized the need for every registered member to have a stake in choosing executive council members as a matter of strengthening internal democracy, unity of purpose and political participation in critical decisions of the party.
Senator George Akume has also assured Nigerians and Benue indigenes who are members of the party or prospective members of the party of equal opportunities, benefits and privileges of their membership.
The revalidation and registration exercise of old and prospective members of the party is to take place from 2-16 February, 2021, in all the Council Ward headquarters/polling units/party offices across the state.
