Senator George Akume made this known at the official commissioning of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi liaison office in Abuja, where he presided as the Special Guest of Honour, represented by Hon Christopher Tarka.

The Minister in his address, commended the Universuty leadership for establishing the new liaison office Complex in the Federal Capital Territory for purposes of adequate/responsible representation and accessibility. He also exhorted the University Community to utilise the wonderful opportunities the Liaison Office affords them; opportunities for proper public information, advocacy, fund-raising, project and programme implementation, capacity building. communication, coordination tool(s) etc.

The occasion was graced by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, members of the University Governing Council and Top Management of the university as well as The Student Union President.
