SENATOR GEORGE AKUME INITIATES DISTRIBUTION OF PALLIATIVES ACROSS THE BENUE STATE SENATORIAL ZONES

The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, fnim has commenced the distribution of Sorghum to indigenes, families and communities in Benue State as part of measures to cushion the effects of The COVID-19 Pandemic.

Senator George Akume decried the immense hardships and difficulties occasioned by The COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasised that this palliative scheme was also primed to help alleviate the sufferings of the most vulnerable section of our population and assured that more will be done to provide relief.

Exhorting those responsible for distribution, he directed that the items be distributed to Targeted individuals, families and communities in Benue State devoid of any discriminations whether political, tribal or regional.

The target-beneficiaries of This palliatives disbursement scheme are Traditional rulers, Churches, The Muslim bodies, Association of widows. Orphanage homes etc, State APC Leaders, Stakeholders and Members as well as their counterparts in the other political parties

The Minister, while calling on The Good people of Benue to be calm and understanding also urged them to keep faith with the Buhari administration as The Govt was doing all to reach them at this trying time.
